Welcome to Ryerson! Located in the heart of Toronto, this university is in the perfect spot for any student looking for a fun, modern campus full of opportunities. With over a hundred programs to choose from that consistently rank at the top, Ryerson would be a excellent choice for any student. Ryerson is also home to an internationally recognized School of Media, so if TV or broadcasting is your dream, Ryerson may be the school for you! Popular Programs:

Fashion (Bachelor of Design) - Not only is Ryerson the leading school in Canada for Fashion, it is was also named one of the best Fashion schools in the world in 2019. Learn about both the creative and business sides of this program, as well as gain some hands-on experience from the internship hours that are built into the program (at least 250 hours!). Not many universities offer this program in Ontario, and Ryerson’s excellency in this program makes this a great school to pursue an education in Fashion!

Ryerson RTA School of Media - RTA, or Radio and Television Arts, is a unique school offered at Ryerson that explores the world of media. There are three programs offered: New Media, Media Production, and Sports Media. Ryerson was the first university in North America to offer a Bachelor of Arts in Sports Media, and the university has constructed multiple production centres and state of the art facilities for students to experience as much as possible. Hands on experience is built into each respective program for students to get the most out of their program.


1. New Media: This program focuses on computer programming, gaming, mobile development in collaboration with contemporary art.

3. Sports Media: This program focuses sport journalism, live event production, on-air hosting, multi-platform marketing and sport entertainment management.

Image Arts: Photography Studies - Ryerson is home to the oldest and most prestigious photography program in Canada. As a photography student in this program, you will have access to one of the largest photograph production facilities in North America, as well as the Ryerson Image Centre, which is the leading centre for research and exhibition of photographs in Canada!

Ryerson Student Learning Centre:

When I say Ryerson is in the heart of downtown Toronto, I mean it. The award-winning SLC is in the perfect location, and each floor is uniquely named and designed for a element of nature (ex. the Beach, the Sky). Ryerson Traditions:


Blue and Gold Ball (BGB) - This annual student-run ball is a semi-formal event that began at Ryerson in the 1950s. It is held every year to celebrate the Ryerson community as well as to raise funds for the students!


Eagle Staff Spiritual Honour - In 2012, Ryerson became the first university in Ontario to be honoured with an Eagle Staff in recognition of their dedication to creating a safe, support system for Indigenous students. The Staff is present at all important university events, such as convocation ceremonies.


Zone Learning: A new and experimental form of learning, Zone Learning encourages and helps students connect their academic learning to real-life start-ups, ventures, projects, and causes! Not only are you able to share your ideas and create change, you can have real-life experience for when you graduate. Attend events, meet new people, and then start networking! You can collaborate with other students or leaders in your field and you can add some unique experience to your resume. There are 10 Zones to get involved in:
