Shepherds of Good Hope - Group Volunteering

Do you have a passion for helping others and making a difference in your community? Sign up to volunteer with Shepherds of Good Hope through Passionate Minds! Normally, volunteers under the age of 18 would not be allowed to volunteer individually. However, under the supervision of our mentors at Passionate Minds, this opportunity has opened up for you to volunteer in a youth group!

The mission of Shepherds is to foster hope and reduce harm in Ottawa by supporting our community's homeless and most vulnerable with specialized services, programs, and partnerships. They offer a variety of programs and services that provide permanent homes, help stabilize people and prepare them for employment, and support members of our community who are in need. One of their current operations is a soup kitchen, which would not be possible without volunteers like you!

This food at the door service is especially important during the pandemic. Meals are provided at the door by staff in prepackaged containers. Your role as a volunteer would consist of assisting with the preparation of food as well as the bagging and assembly of meals.
